Description of Activity

This challenge involves 2 team members paddling double kayaks blind folded through markers to retrieve pieces of a disassembled catapult situated on a floating pontoon. The team members paddling the kayaks are guided through the markers by the rest of the group. When all pieces of the catapult are colleted, the team will be given a plan how to assemble the catapult. When the catapult is assembled, they must fire tennis balls into plastic bins situated various distances away. These bins have different value points. The team that finishes with the most points win.

Aim and Objectives

For the group to undertake and complete the Catapult Challenge using and developing good teamwork, communications skills, conflicts resolutions, planning and problem in a safe and enjoyable session.

Outcomes

For the group to under take and complete the catapult challenge sucessfully they must use and develop their teamwork, communication, conflict resolution, planning and problem solving skills. This is a safe and enjoyable way to achive these goals.
